Research Group

Semiconductor Physics

Major Research Facilities:

  • The experimental techniques used for characterization of defects include junction space-charge transient techniques, such as Deep Level Transient Spectroscopy (DLTS), Optical-DLTS and Photocapacitance, Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy for optical absorption studies.

CURRENT RESEARCH ACTIVITIES:

  • The principal area in the Semiconductor Physics Laboratory is the study of defects in crystalline semiconductors.
  • The crystalline semiconductors under study in the laboratory include both elemental semiconductors, such as Si and III-V compounds, such as GaP, GaAsP, AlGaAs and InP.
  • The group has also interest on Nitride Semiconductors, Alternative Energy, Solid State Lighting, Semiconductor Spintronics.
