Our goal is to produce graduates who are able to function in outstanding manner whether as academics in universities, researchers in R&D organizations, technical experts for government or private sector or as teachers in colleges or high schools in whatever capacity they serve they are expected to carry with them the knowledge based as well as the critical and analytical abilities developed by our program. To ensure that our PhD graduates have a through grounding in the fundamentals of Physics, the department requires all PhD students to clear the international Graduate Recording Examination (GRE) in Physics. Academic responsibility and accountability of the faculty is taken very seriously in the form of student evaluation reports and course reports submitted by the faculty.
